My name is Melissa Burdick. I am a licensed massage therapist and have been practicing Usui Reiki for 17 years. I have been working as a massage therapist for the past two years, and I continue to grow and learn through hands-on experience and ongoing education.
I take a holistic approach to my work, meaning I look at the whole person rather than focusing on one area in isolation. My goal is to offer care that feels supportive, respectful, and steady—helping you feel more comfortable and at ease as you move through your wellness journey.
A Soulful Reconnection
Through massage, therapeutic bodywork, and Reiki, I offer a calm, supportive space where you can slow down and take a break from everyday demands. Sessions are not rushed, and there is no expectation to believe in anything or to have a particular type of experience. This work is practical, grounded, and focused on helping you feel better in your body.
The name Soulful Reconnection reflects how I approach my work. To me, soulful means being present, attentive, and thoughtful with each client. It’s about offering care that feels human and personal, not mechanical or routine. Reconnection is about helping you notice your body again—how it feels, where things may be holding, and where there’s room for more ease.
Massage works directly with the body, while Reiki supports a calmer, quieter state that can help the body settle. Together, they create space for rest and reset. Many people leave sessions feeling more comfortable, more settled, and more aware of themselves than when they arrived.
Whether you’re dealing with ongoing discomfort, recovering from an injury, or simply feeling worn down or overwhelmed, each session is shaped around what you need that day. Therapeutic bodywork may focus on areas of tightness, posture, or limited movement, always with the intention of improving comfort and ease over time.
Massage and Reiki, when offered with care and attention, can be deeply supportive. Beyond relaxation, they can help you feel steadier, more grounded, and more at home in your body. My hope is that you leave each session feeling cared for, supported, and a little more like yourself.
