While reading a yoga magazine in 2007, I came upon a little advertisement for Reiki. Without knowing what it was, I emailed the practitioner and made my first appointment. On my way to that first session, I blew a tire. At the time, I didn’t realize it was the first test from the Universe to see if I would follow through or not. I made it just in time, and from that appointment on, my life changed dramatically. During my second session, while looking down at my hands, I realized I was meant to be a Reiki practitioner.

I’ve been a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki practitioner since 2007. I was taught by a wonderful teacher who had been practicing for over 25 years. She guided me through all three Reiki levels and became a long-time friend. In 2014, I completed my Reiki Master Teacher level with another incredible mentor who opened my eyes to a whole new world. While I’ve faced challenges in opening my intuition and mind, the journey has been absolutely beautiful. In 2019, when I decided to launch my business, Soulful Reconnection, I blew a tire again—on the way to pick up my business cards!

I’ve always known I was meant to help others—help them open to the possibilities of natural healing and be a part of their journey. I’ve supported clients with pain management, anxiety, addictions, and trauma. Reiki is not spiritual in itself, but many find that it leads them to a spiritual awakening. It’s a holistic healing practice and is becoming more widely embraced.

For five years, I worked as a Chiropractic Assistant, which deepened my understanding of the body and enhanced my approach to holistic care. That experience gave me a strong foundation in physical wellness and helped me see the value of integrating traditional and alternative healing modalities.

In December 2022, I achieved a significant milestone by graduating with an Associate's in Health Science. Eager to continue my journey, I enrolled in massage school at BCC in January 2023. There, I learned from gifted instructors—many of them practicing massage therapists—who offered a powerful blend of hands-on techniques and deep healing insights.

As a Reiki practitioner, I naturally approached massage therapy with a holistic mindset. My time at BCC included mentorship from a few exceptional massage professionals, adding even more depth to my practice. True to the pattern, I popped four more tires during massage school—tests I recognized as the Universe’s way of checking my commitment. I met those challenges with determination, graduating in December 2023 and earning my massage therapy license in January 2024.

Now, with a strong foundation in energy work, bodywork, and health science—and years of hands-on experience—I’m honored to continue helping others reconnect to their own healing journeys.
